Mitch lives in South Bristol with his wife Terry, son Ryan, who is currently studying at The University of Maine at Orono and son Dylan, a junior at Lincoln Academy. Mitch served in the U.S. Coast Guard starting in 1980 where he served as a boat coxswain and law enforcement officer at Search and Rescue Stations, a coastal ice breaker, a buoy tender and lighthouse keeper duties. In 1989 he left active duty and joined the reserve component until his retirement as Senior Chief Boatswains Mate in June 2004. After his active duty tour he returned to South Bristol and worked for Washburn & Doughty Shipyard before a lengthy career with Colby & Gale Inc.

Mitch has also been very active with community service. A long time member of the South Bristol Volunteer Fire Department as Firefighter, Training officer, Assistant Fire Chief and Public Information Officer. He was also very active in the planning and building of the new fire station in town and development of a water rescue program. A member of the Lincoln County Fire Chiefs Association he worked with the Office of Emergency Management to bring E-911 to Lincoln County and implement the addressing of all roads and properties. He has been a Boy Scout Scoutmaster and Little League baseball coach. He is also an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys GOLF, hunting, fishing, boating and spending time with friends and family.

Mitch is now licensed as a Sales Agent and is looking forward to a long and rewarding career in real estate. He plans on using his broad knowledge of home systems and construction and of the surrounding area to help in either the selling of your home or the purchase of your Dream Property.
